Christine McClurg – violin

Class Description

Christine Elizabeth McClurg started her music career at the ripe old age of four years old on violin, soon followed by piano at the age of six. Music was always a part of life, from regular private lessons to Suzuki workshops and other music camps, to performances at Copley Symphony Hall and two tours to Europe and then Russia with Civic Youth Orchestra. At seventeen, in her first year of college at Point Loma Nazarene University, she was the youngest teacher apprentice in the Strings Project. In 2009 she graduated from PLNU with a Bachelors of Arts in Music Performance and a Bachelors of Arts in Media Communications and later received her Suzuki Teachers Credential with Michele George. Miss McClurg continues to perform around San Diego as well as teach in schools, after school programs and privately, sharing the enriching gift of music. Christine is thrilled to join the faculty at Villa Musica.
