Chase Pado is a classical and jazz pianist with a decade of experience in performance and composition. In his youth, Chase studied an array of classical music ranging from Bach to Debussy through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. After completing this certification program in 2012, Chase pursued a newfound interest in jazz, improvisation, and contemporary music at the University of California, San Diego where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Piano Performance in 2015.
Chase has been teaching private piano lessons for 4 years. He has enjoyed the experience of working with a range of ages, abilities, and interests. Chase believes that the technical and physical aspects of playing the piano are essential for the student’s expression and comfort. In addition to these fundamentals, Chase approaches the musical language from both an aural and theoretical perspective. His curriculum encourages students to engage in performance, listening, reading, and creativity in order to have a balanced understanding of the interesting, challenging, and amusing world of music.
