Jessie Neuffer – Voice/Piano

Description

Jessie Neuffer was born and raised in Central California, where she was groomed to be a musician at a young age as her parents are both music teachers. She began by learning the clarinet at the age 9. Along with clarinet she started taking voice lessons. In her childhood and teenage years she participated in several choirs, marching band, jazz band, musicals, and anything musically inclined that came her way.

Jessie began teaching at the age seventeen, right after graduating high school. While studying for her Bachelor’s of music she kept a studio of private students, instructed marching bands, choirs, and non-profit organizations. Jessie received her Bachelors of Music from California State University Stanislaus in 2018. There, she studied opera and starred in many shows such as Le nozze di Figaro, Die Fledermaus, Suor Angelica, and many more. After graduating she then moved to LA and received her Masters of Music at California State University Northridge in 2020 under the study of Shigemi Matsumoto. There, Ms. Neuffer furthered her studies of opera and vocal pedagogy.

During her time in Southern California, Jessie has continued to teach, and take full advantage of all the performance opportunities Southern California has to offer. In 2021 she began her work at the School of Rock, expanding on her teaching capabilities through new genres and instruments. Jessie continues to learn and grow her teaching skills through classroom teaching and directing musicals such as Jungle Book and Shrek Jr. Jessie’s instruction is based on her classical and operatic studies, however, she can teach many styles such as jazz, musical theatre, pop, rock, etc. Jessie continues to learn new instruments, styles, and genres of music. She would like to share the beauty of continuous musical as well as personal growth.
