Yolanda Marcia Collier moved to San Diego from Philadelphia PA. to attend San Diego State University. Yolanda has been a teacher for San Diego County Office of Education’s Juvenile Court and Community Schools for over 20 years.
Yolanda is a mom, wife, and teacher. Spending time with family and friends is her happy place. Travel, food, music, and books light up her world.
She first learned about Villa Musica in 2014 when her son joined one of Villa Musica’s violin classes at a satellite program. He was 4 years old and she was impressed at how quickly he learned and how his love of strings is still growing today.
Yolanda is pleased to serve on the board of Villa Musica and to share her unique perspective as both a parent and an educator.
