Description
April Lin is an expressive and imaginative pianist, both in solo and collaborative performances. She started her studies under the famous professor Zhu Ya Fen. After graduating from Shen Yang Music Conservatory, she traveled to Texas and continued to pursue a degree in performance piano with Dr. Banowetz at University of North Texas, which is nationally ranked as #15 in Colleges of Music. Upon receiving her bachelors degree, she came to San Diego to study with Dr. Follingstad at San Diego State University, where she received her Master’s degree in piano performance. While she was attending SDSU, she won the SDSU Soloist Competition and the opportunity to perform a concerto with the SDSU orchestra.
She has performed as a pianist at Coronado Philharmonia Orchestra since 2021, and participated as a jury member in the Pacific Star International Competition 2023 and the Rotary Youth Instrumental Music Competition 2024.
