Villa Musica’s COMMUNITY ACCESS initiative gives San Diegans from all over the county, the opportunity to participate in quality music education and music making programs!

Villa Musica’s Community Partnerships division oversees our Satellite sites, School Programs, and ENCORE! – Programs for Seniors, which run off-site from our main campus in Sorrento Valley.

Satellites

Villa Musica offers FREE programming at satellite sites running in partnership with local branch libraries: Logan Heights, Malcolm X, College-Rolando, Linda Vista, and City Heights. This programming includes our multi-generational Mariachi as well as violin, guitar, and singing group classes for kids, teens, and adults in the community.

School Programs

Villa Musica provides free and low-cost music programming in a variety of school settings. In collaboration with the San Diego Unified School District, Villa Musica teaching artists provide specialized coaching during and after school through our Band Boost, String Zing, Choir Fire, and Music & Technology programs.

Villa Musica also provides full grade music education for schools seeking to enhance their music programming. Planning and curriculum development for Prop.28 funding can also be created in collaboration with Villa Musica staff and teaching artists.
