This March we had our 4th annual Link-Up Concert! Villa Musica is a proud partner of Link-Up, a program spearheaded by Carnegie Hall featuring 100 orchestras around the globe including in Kenya, Japan, New Zealand and the UK. Villa Musica is Southern California’s only partner orchestra in the program, and brings in hundreds of families from 10 partner schools all over San Diego County.

The program we run in schools consists of two parts; the first is a  regular weekly curriculum in which our instructors teach students in a classroom setting how to play their instruments and their repertoire. The second is a  culminating concert at the end of the school year with a professional orchestra, where students take everything they have learned and use it in a live performance setting. The concert truly highlights all of our goals here at Villa Musica. It is a wonderful place for young students from all across San Diego county to get their first experience in orchestral music, and for them to come together as one community to make that music together. Here are some photo highlights from the event!

This year’s concert took place at the PHAME Theater at Patrick Henry High School
