In the Spring of 2017, Villa Musica opened its second satellite site at the Malcolm X Library in Valencia Park, which is primarily a residential area with a mix of single-family homes and apartments. The neighborhood is known for its diversity, with a mix of African American, Latino, and Asian residents. Valencia Park is known as welcoming neighborhood with a strong sense of community.

Classes are designed in conference with library staff, participants, and their families to enhance this neighborhood’s passion for music.

Fall Quarter 2024:

Classes run for 10 weeks:
Quarter starts the week of Monday 9/16
Quarter Ends on Sunday 11/24
Recital Sunday Afternoon 11/24

SATURDAYS
String FUNdamentals (Violin, Beginning Level), Ages 5-7, 10:00-10:30am
String Zing (Violin, Intermediate Level) – 10:30-11:15am
Violin Brillante (Advanced Level) – 11:15am-12:00pm
Guitar for Kids (Beginning Level), Ages 7-12, 2:00-2:45pm
Guitar for Kids (Intermediate Level), Ages 7-12,  2:45-3:30pm
