Description
Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in music theory from the School of Music at Northwestern University (Evanston, Illinois) and a master’s degree in musicology from UC San Diego. He has a great deal of professional and academic experience, having performed in wind ensembles, jazz groups, marching bands, theater orchestras, and chamber ensembles. Jeff has also performed on toy piano, hosted a radio show, marched in the Rose Parade, and accompanied a dance performance while suspended from the ceiling.
Jeff has many years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. His approach to instruction emphasizes good technical habits, expressive performance, and music reading and theory. Jeff strives to pass along his love of music, both classical and popular, through a wide range of study material, custom solo and duet arrangements, and creative activities.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys attending concerts and theater, skiing, playing board and puzzle games, and walking his two dogs, Giovanni and Hildegard.
