Description
Alexander Oliver graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2019 with a BA degree in Music Theory and Piano Performance. His musical career began in 2006 when he first began taking lessons for the violin. Shortly thereafter, he joined his elementary school band on the clarinet, and fell in love with the piano and hasn’t looked back since. As a professional, Alexander has 7 years of private instruction experience and 2 years teaching piano and clarinet with Everyone’s Music School, a local school in Santa Cruz which aims to make music lessons more accessible. Since leaving the school in 2022, he has continued to work with private students while he works to improve his own piano technique.
Alexander loves challenging himself with difficult piano repertoire, and believes that the best way to foster a lifelong love of music for his students is to give them the opportunity to explore and learn more about the music they enjoy listening to.
