Description
Aaron Demby Jones is a pianist, educator, and artist. He began piano lessons at age five after asking for (and failing to receive) a harpsichord for Christmas. Later, he earned a BA in Music and Mathematics from Brown University and a PhD in Media Arts and Technology from UC Santa Barbara, where his work explored connections between music, mathematics, and visual art.
Aaron brings a broad perspective to his teaching, with inspirations from classical, jazz, and contemporary styles. He has taught at multiple levels, from private instruction to university courses. His approach combines technical foundations with musical creativity, emphasizing listening and improvisation to help students gain confidence and develop their own personal voice.
