Description
Vocal Exploration Workshop
Unlock the full expressive potential of your voice. Whether you are an experienced vocalist, a shower singer, or a curious explorer looking to connect more deeply with your body, this 6-week workshop offers a welcoming, low-pressure space to experiment and create.
Our core focus is the art of free improvisation. Together, we will treat the voice as a versatile vehicle for personal and collective expression. To inspire our music-making, we will dive into unique vocal modalities like the Embodied VoiceWork method, alongside the boundary-pushing philosophies of avant-garde pioneers like Pauline Oliveros (Deep Listening), Butch Morris (Conduction), and Bobby McFerrin (Circlesongs). Through these varied improvisation traditions, we will learn to listen deeply, play with sound, and ultimately build our own collective language of spontaneous music.
Come as you are, bring your curiosity, and help us lay the groundwork for this brand-new Villa Musica tradition.
