A Thanks to the Villa Musica Community
This February Villa Musica partnered with CAMARADA to help promote their “What’s Your Händel?” concert. We had an amazing amount of attendance from our community- a whopping 78 people RSVPed from us! Our goal as music educators is not only to provide our students with the tools to play and appreciate music, but also the opportunities to get out into the world and experience the power of music firsthand. After the concert several of our families reached out to CAMARADA share their thoughts and experiences. CAMARADA very graciously shared some of those messages with us so that we could share with you what accessibility to the arts means firsthand to our community. They also gave us this message to pass on:
“We are proud to partner with local organizations who are working hard to create opportunities for people of all backgrounds to explore the power of music in their lives. And it was a thrill to have so many from Villa Musica community join us for our “What’s Your Händel?” concert at The Conrad in February! The energy of the audience is so important to us when we perform. From the stage, we could feel the incredible enthusiasm from the students, families and teachers – it made the concert even more unforgettable for all of our artists – thank you!”

I wanted to sincerely thank you for the ticket – the show was absolutely amazing! My daughter and I enjoyed it so much, especially since it was our first time attending a CAMARADA concert. It was a truly memorable experience, and so we are appreciative of the opportunity.
I can’t wait to attend more concerts like this in the future! Thank you again for your kindness, hospitality, and all your help!

Thank you so much for inviting us. We had such a wonderful time. The musicians were incredibly talented and we loved the venue. Amelia wrote a note to personally thank you.Cortes Family
Thanks for inviting us! it was our first time at The Conrad and the whole family loved the experience. Both my son and daughter placed the Harp Concerto in their top 2. The other one for my sone was the Lascia ch’io Piango from Rinaldo and for my daughter the Cembalo concerto. My son has Villa Lobos as one of his favorite composers (because of his guitar pieces), so he was quite excited about the Quinette Instrumental.
Personally, I think the narrator did a fantastic job — combining jokes, information, and overall good vibes.

Thanks so much for letting us join the concert. I am so grateful and thankful for Villa Musica and Camarada giving us the chance to participate in this concert.
It was amazing and AWESOME, according to Owen. Even my younger one, who is 6 years old, enjoyed it too! Owen had a great time at the concert and still discusses what he heard with my husband every now and then. They talked about their likes/dislikes and analyze the different style of the composers which surprised me with how much Owen understood about the music.
I have been wanting to take Owen to a concert like like this because he really loves music. He has been saying that he wants to be a pianist and seeing this concert in person has only inspired him even more. I truly appreciate that you gave us the opportunity to attend this concert and have a great experience cultivating our boys’ love for music.

My Husband and I really enjoyed the concert. The harp and the Sopranos [were] standouts. My son noticed the violin picking technique. It reminded him of playing the guitar. He found the concert relaxing and especially enjoyed the harp.
