Villa Musica’s Intermezzo String Ensemble is for string players with a year or two of experience on their instrument.

Come play in an ensemble with other kids and learn new music in a fun and supportive environment! In this program, students will build on fundamentals of music reading and develop new skills while learning what playing in an ensemble is all about. Students will work toward a concert for family and friends at the end of each quarter. Violins, violas, cellos, and basses are welcome!

When: Mondays, 10:30 – 11:30am
January 8th – March 4th, 2024 (no class on February 25th)

AndreMeet your strings instructor, Andre…

Andre Beller graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Music Education and a teaching credential in music. He specializes in teaching stringed instruments, and has taught the range of students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Andre has taught strings at Our Lady of Guadalupe (South Campus) and Millennial Tech Middle School since 2009.

In his free time, Andre plays bass (and sometimes lead guitar) in a few bands in San Diego. His favorite kinds of music are baroque, video game soundtracks, metal, and barbershop quartet.
