Music Theory for Kids
Music Theory for Kids is a course designed to help young musicians expand their toolkit for interpreting and understanding music! In this course we will:
– Learn the how chords and scales are constructed, and how they are used
– Build a deeper understanding of music notation, so your sheet music “makes more sense”
– Learn to read a chord chart, for easier playing with others, and for a deeper understanding of your songs
– Learn new skills with the piano, and build upon skills you may already have
Recommended for kids with prior playing and reading experience (intermediate to advanced)
When: Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00pm
First Class: June 9th, 2026
Number of Participants: min. 4 – max. 10
Class Fee:$200 (8 weeks)
