Sharon Barnard,(otherwise known as Shari) is a recent graduate from California State University of Bakersfield (online), where she received her BA in Communications. She has also received her AA in Social and Behavioral Sciences and an AA-T in Communications from Grossmont Community College. Throughout this time, she has taken on many customer service roles, from cashiering, coaching, baking, and working in exhibits at the Del Mar Fair, to entertainment roles through scare acting and other seasonal opportunities. It’s safe to say, she wears many hats!
Her favorite quote that she feels best describes herself is: “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one”.
Shari is passionate about being a part of something meaningful; working to create more opportunities for children and adults to express themselves and learn something new! She strives to be the best communicator she can be and enjoys collaboration and new experiences.
Currently, you’ll find her working as one of the Receptionist and Student Liaisons at Villa Musica, or perhaps behind the register at the local BevMo!
Shari has spent the last 22 years living, working, and going to school in and around the Fletcher Hills community. As a student, she felt lucky to find access to teachers, programs and schools that valued the arts, and now hopes to bring these opportunities to other students (no matter their age).
