In October of 2014, Villa Musica officially opened its first satellite site at the Logan Heights Library. Logan Heights has a rich history and a vibrant cultural identity. The neighborhood was originally settled in the late 1800s and early 1900s by Mexican immigrants who worked in the local agriculture industry. Over time, Logan Heights became a hub of Chicano culture and activism, and it is now recognized as a historic center of the Chicano movement.

Classes are designed in conference with library staff, participants, and their families to enhance this neighborhood’s passion for music.

Violin Brillante (Advanced Level) – 4:15-5:00

THURSDAYS
String FUNdamentals (Violin, Beginning Level), Ages 5-7 – 3:30-4:00pm
String Play (Violin, Beginning Level), Ages 8-11 – 4:00-4:45pm
String Zing (Violin, Intermediate Level) – 4:45-5:30pm

SATURDAYS
Guitar for Adults & Teens – 11:00-11:45am
Guitar for Kids (Beginning Level), Ages 7-12 – 11:45am-12:15pm
Guitar for Kids (Intermediate Level), Ages 7-12 – 12:15-1:00pm
Mariachi Villa Musica (all ages) – 1 – 2:30pm
Orchestra Néos (Violin Ensemble) – 2:30-3:30
