On July 17th, our Summer Wind Ensemble held their yearly concert. The progamme, titled ‘Symphonic Metamorphosis’, featured arrangements of Verdi’s Overture to Nabucco, Wagner’s Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral, Strauss’ Overture to Die Fledermaus, Marquis’ Danzon No. 2, and Hidemith’s Symphonic Metamorphosis on a Theme of Carl Maria von Weber.

We are so happy to have had another successful iteration of the Summer Wind Ensemble. Our goal here at Villa Musica is to foster a community of people who all share a passion for music and music education, and our summer ensembles really show off what an exemplary group of people our community is made up of! One of our first time members reached out after the show with this message:
This was my 1st experience performing with the summer ensembles and my 1st exposure to your organization. I had a “blast” making music with you all!
Thanks so much for everything you do and I look forward to applying for a seat next summer!
