Description
String Play – Level I (ages 7 – 8)
This class is for complete beginners. Weekly group instruction is geared toward establishing good technique, ensemble playing, as well as solo performing skills. Classes are focused on learning how to hold the violin/bow correctly, play one string at a time, place left hand fingers in tune (on the tapes), and keeping a steady beat. Students in this class will learn primarily by rote. Note learning is introduced in subsequent levels.
Parents are strongly encouraged to observe, and even participate!
When: Saturdays, 1:00-1:45pm
First Class: December 7th, 2024 (Winter Quarter)
Who: Children ages 7 – 8 years
Number of participants: 4 – 8 students
Course Fee: $200 (10 weeks)
