Villa Musica’s Theory program has been set up to complement practical lessons in all instruments and follows the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM Canada) curriculum. Level 5 Theory builds on the foundations established at the Elementary levels and further develops students’ understanding of notational conventions, analysis, melody and composition, and music history. The RCM level 5 theory assessment is required for a fully accredited level credential and accompanies all Level 5 practical exams.
