Ukulele 101
Ukulele 101 is for vaccinated adults of all ages interested in learning the basics of strumming chords and easy fingerpicking. We’ll learn a mix of ukulele classics from the golden era, as well as contemporary hits which use old-time rhythms—from “Over The Rainbow” and “You Are My Sunshine” to “I’m Yours,” with a side order of Elvis. The class requires no previous musical experience, but an openness to learning a bit of basic notation, and the willingness to vocalize as needed to help keep your place in the music. We welcome student requests as well: let us know your favorite song or artist when you register.
When: Tuesdays, 2 – 3pm
First Class: September 12th, 2023
