It costs a LOT of money to run a non-profit. Villa Musica’s largest expense each year is payroll. We are VERY proud of the fact that our teaching artists make a living wage for their work with us. They are the essence of our work, our most valuable asset, and the boots on the ground in schools, senior centers, at our satellites, and in our studios. They are all employees, and full-time teaching artists can also enroll in Villa Musica’s health insurance plan.
Creating a community of belonging for those seeking quality music education is one thing, but creating an environment of community, respect, and camaraderie for our teaching artists is a TOP priority at Villa Musica.
Employees, rent, insurance, janitorial services, utilities… the list goes on. Perhaps you are a donor just interested in helping us continue to pay our employees, keep the lights on, and help us continue to keep our mission “front and center” in all that we do.
