Description
String Zing – Level I (ages 9 – 11)
This class is for complete beginners. Weekly group instruction is geared toward establishing good technique, ensemble playing, as well as solo performing skills. Classes are focused on learning how to hold the violin/bow correctly, play one string at a time, place left hand fingers in tune (on the tapes), and keeping a steady beat. Students in this class will learn foundational note reading through Essential Elements Bk I exercises # 1-64.
Parents are strongly encouraged to observe, and even participate!
When: Wednesdays, 3:30 – 4:15pm
First Class: September 18th, 2024 (Fall Quarter)
Who: Students ages 9 – 11 years
Number of participants: 4 – 8 students
Course Fee: $200 (10 weeks) $15 (Essential Elements Bk I)
