Villa Musica’s donors provide the backbone of support we need in order to have a solid base from which to launch all of our programs.

As we move into our 20th year (20 years in 2025!), as well as expand into Point Loma and are starting to build out a new facility in East County San Diego, strengthening our base of support is crucial now more than ever.

Donations of any size are always accepted, and can be easily made online via the PayPal button above, or by sending a check to the address below. We also offer three unique giving opportunities — the Friends of Villa Musica Fund, Naming Rights, and Legacy Gifts.

Friends of Villa Musica

Our “Friends of Villa Musica” is a special group of supports who elects to make regular monthly donations to Villa Musica via automatic monthly payments. Opting in to a regular monthly donation not only ensures that we have regular income to continue to operate and expand all of our current amazing programs, but also allows our donors to set up regular gifts and not have to worry about one more monthly expense to remember to pay.

Central to the success of every non-profit is a healthy community of donors, and Villa Musica is no exception. Every donation we receive is poured back into our community through scholarships, free programs at satellites and in local public schools, and allows us to provide free instruments for students who need them. No donation is too small! We are grateful for every donor, every dollar, and everyone who helps to ensure we are able to continue be “your home for music!”

Your Naming Rights Donation allows us to build a lasting foundation for Villa Musica. Why I Give...
A message from our Board Chair - Bill Gilmer

I have spent a majority of my life making and teaching music, starting in earnest when I was twelve and continuing now for half a century. For me, music has been transformative. At Villa Musica, we transform lives through music. This is why I give to Villa Musica.

I give to support music education in our schools. I give so that I can see little ones at the Logan Heights Library learn to play the violin and the guitar and perform for an audience of supportive community members. I give so that I can hear a Community Chorus made up of members ranging from singers with a music degree to singers performing in an ensemble for the very first time sing with commitment and joy. I give to support a program that allows people living with Alzheimer’s to map their life through their musical experiences. I give to provide financial assistance to those who need it in order to take music lessons. I give to support our community summer Wind Ensemble and Orchestra. I give so that kids can perform in their own rock band or participate in Summer music camp.

I give because Villa Musica really is “Transforming Lives Through Music.” Our gifts help to ensure that the transformative nature of a quality music education is within reach of all, young, old and in between.
