Description
Jordanna Rose is the Artistic Administrator at San Diego Opera, where she is responsible for a wide variety administrative, management and personnel activities related to all performing artists cast by the Opera. She is also a founding member and artistic representative on the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) Committee, setting policy for diverse casting and employment. She previously worked in and around the classical music industry, including as an assistant management agent representing professional opera singers. She has also worked as a registrar and coordinator at the Lucy Moses School at the Kaufman Music Center in New York City. More recently, she was the Artist Coordinator/Company Manager at The La Jolla Music Society where she was a key participant in the planning, presentation and production of regular season and summer festival solo and ensemble classical and jazz music and dance.
Jordanna has a degree in Opera Performance from the University of British Columbia School of Music where she performed many roles and also assisted in administration and recruitment for the Opera and instrumental departments. She began her musical studies with Fiona Chatwin, prior to the establishment of Villa Musica, and has continued her relationship there through concerts, guidance to students looking toward further musical studies and providing feedback on challenges students face in a conservatory environment.
