Intrigued by the many paths held within the world of music, Riley has reached out to dabble in a bit of everything from music journalism and live performance to social media management and concert promotion. Now at Villa Musica, he handles social media, event support, marketing, and front desk duties.
After earning a degree in Liberal Arts at Miracosta in San Diego, Riley headed up north to Cal Poly Pomona, graduating with a B.A. in Music Business where his studies included digital marketing, guitar performance, theory, and brand management. At Cal Poly Pomona, he also was the President of the Music and Entertainment Industry Club, organizing workshops and on-campus concerts.
His other accomplishments include booking bands in Los Angeles venues, interviewing artists and reviewing albums while writing for multiple online music outlets, and marketing for record labels such as Famined Records, M-Theory Audio, and Surfdog Records. Riley’s passions for music span across contemporary, experimental, and world music fusion, yet he is also interested in animals, politics, nature, and film.
