Electronic Beat Making
Participants in this program will explore creativity and composition via a Digital Audio Workshop using class laptops with the end goal of creating their own original song to play for family and friends (and share with their classmates). Students will be able to use this technology to express their musical ideas. Because the DAW is accessible via any web browser, students can continue to create outside of the classroom whenever they feel inspired. Our faculty will guide them through a specific structure so that each student will finish at least one original piece by the end of the session. Depending on the technology available, students will also be able to sing or rap over top of the beats they create.
When: Mondays, 12:45-1:45 pm
January 13th, 2025 – March 17th, 2025 (8 weeks – no class 1/20 – 1/17)
