Joelle Reyes – Facilitator

Description

Joelle’s love for music began at age 15 when she taught herself to play acoustic guitar and ever since has pursued her goal of incorporating music into the lives of families and diverse populations throughout San Diego. She graduated with a B.S. in Child & Family Development and Spanish minor from San Diego State University. Joelle also received a Professional Certificate in General Music Studies from the Berklee College of Music. During her studies, she started teaching Music & Movement classes at local preschools. She then served as a volunteer guitar instructor at the Veterans Village of San Diego, under the organization Guitars for Vets. Joelle later worked with prison populations and taught guitar and songwriting workshops with Jail Guitar Doors USA. She also gave monthly performances at the Arroyo Vista Nursing Center. Joelle0 now works as a lead preschool teacher for Kid Ventures Preschool Academy, and am is Expressive Arts Facilitator for Art Flow Collective. Joelle is proud to have recently taken on the role as a Facilitator for the “Musical Biographies” program at Villa Musica. She truly believes that art has the power to make a positive impact on people from all walks of life.
