Nicole Olsson – Community Program Coordinator

Description

Happily at home in both the music classroom and on-stage, Nicole has seen how successful access to music education can benefit our community. Growing up in the Imperial Valley with a passionate focus on arts education, she has carried the importance of equitable access to the arts as a product of her own community-style involvement in her education. Nicole’s continued exposure as Teaching Artist and past Summer Camp Coordinator at Villa Musica has allowed her to observe Villa Musica’s many programs both at school enrichment, and satellite public library programs.

Nicole has a Bachelors of Music in Music Education from San Diego State University and started her passion for increasing access to music education at the collegiate level as a student grant writer for the Campanile Music Festival. As a violinist she has performed many concerts with fellow Villa Musica faculty members in local orchestras.
