Thalia Rojas- Violin

Description

Thalia (she/her) is a recent graduate of the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver where she holds a Bachelor of Music Degree along with a Performance Certificate. She is currently earning her Master’s Degree in Music at San Diego State University. She has studied with Basil Vendryes, Travis Maril, Rudolph Kremer, and Jennifer Sullivan.
Thalia began her musical studies at age 11 when she joined her middle school orchestra in her hometown of Sun Valley, Idaho where she first picked up the viola. From there, she began taking private lessons from the Sun Valley School of Music, which is an organization that strives to make music accessible. After learning viola, Thalia picked up the violin and began teaching group elementary string classes on both violin and viola for the same organization. She has since taught private lessons, led sectionals for school orchestras, and coached chamber ensembles for various summer music festivals.
Aside from teaching, Thalia enjoys playing in various orchestras and chamber ensembles around the community.
